As we discussed in March, the Product/Development team aims to provide you with more information and updates on the latest product enhancements. We’ve been up to quite a bit this past month, and are excited to share these new additions to the Volusion platform:
Admin Support for New Browsers
First, with open arms, we’d like to welcome all users of Chrome and Safari! We now officially support these browsers for use in the admin area of your store. A big thank you to our store owners for your patience and feedback.
We’re taking this a step further by also adding support for Firefox 4 and Internet Explorer 9, out just last month.
New Template Marketplace
Ready for a new look? You can check out the new marketplace on the Premium Templates page or directly in your admin section under Design->Template. Free and Premium templates can now be easily browsed with an enhanced search capability as well as filters by color, price, category and industry.

New and Improved In-Product Support
To help you receive instant help when using our software, we’ve further enhanced the context-aware support materials within the admin itself. Now you can get answers to relevant common questions, faster access to improved videos, full Volusion Support Knowledge Base search results, and access to additional resources for continued support – all within the Volusion admin console.
For example, if you want more information about enabling recurring pricing, adding product options or processing multiple orders, simply click “Get Help” and you’ll have a wide array of resources to deliver an instant solution. Be sure to check it out!

For more specific updates on any given release, check out our release notes. Simply visit your Volusion admin console: Support->Release Notes.
Happy selling, with any browser!
-Ashley Menter, Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Volusion

Thank you for bringing Safari in to the Volusion browser family. We can now list and edit our office furniture products from my iPad.
It is welcome to hear that you have optimized for CHROME. As you may know, this browser has come to be highly patronized and you have many people now switching to it. Over the months as I worked with many ecommerce platforms, I realized that image placeholders and alt tags did not display well in CHROME for many of the carts and back end. So its a good idea that Volusion has taken a step.
The day this update was pushed live some of our custom where clauses triggered errors and we’re now unable to rebuild our search index. I’ve submitted a ticket on the issue but thus far I cant get anyone to help us with this,
Nice update. Great to see support for Chrome at long last.
In the product support is really helpful.
Looking forward to trying out a new template on our office furniture website.
