You asked and we delivered! We’re excited to announce that our integration with Google Trusted Stores is now available to V13 customers on Gold plans and above.

If you’re not familiar with Google Trusted Stores, it’s a program aimed at improving your conversion rates and order amounts by giving customers added assurance that your store offers a great shopping experience. Once you meet the performance metrics required by Google, your store will be awarded a Google Trusted Stores badge that you can place on your website, which offers additional information about your site and its performance.
“Volusion wants to help its deserving clients earn the best placements possible in both organic and paid search results,” said Nathan Joynt, Volusion SEO Manager. “By incorporating Google Trusted Stores into our ecommerce software, we hope to make it easier for our clients to prove they are trustworthy at the search level. This may help increase search engine click-through-rates from highly targeted and motivated consumers, and potentially increase revenue for our clients.”
In order to participate in the Google Trusted Stores program, you must first sign up for a Google Merchant Center Account. There are also several eligibility requirements outlined by Google that you must meet to participate. For example your business must be based in the United States and you must process at least 500 orders on a rolling 28-day basis. We encourage you to closely review these requirements before getting started.
Once you complete the signup process, Google has a standard 28-day waiting period that must be met before your badge will display.
Sign up soon so you have time to receive your badge before the holiday season.

Happy selling!

Im in the process of building my site, but will I still be able to recieve the badge? Thank you
Hi Joel, and thanks for your comment. You can begin the Google Trusted Store setup process at any point. Please see here for Google’s program eligibility requirements and complete instructions on how to get started. http://support.volusion.com/article/adding-google-trusted-store-badge-your-volusion-store Thanks! – Ruth D.
What does it mean when it says you must process at least 500 orders on a rolling 28-day basis?
Hi Dawn. Thanks for your comment. Google monitors merchant performance on a 28-day rolling average and requires that you process and ship at least 500 qualifying orders within each 28 day period. Please read more here about the specific guidelines Google requires. Thanks! -Ruth D.
Is the 500 order requirement only for Volusion stores? Because on the Google Guidelines page, it says: “>100 orders on a rolling 28-day basis”. Did it change from 500 to 100 recently?
Hi Jeremy, Google recently updated their program guidelines to reflect their change to 500 orders. Please see the update here. Thanks! -Ruth D.
Why must it only apply to US based stores? There are reputable websites in other places around the world as well … such as here in Australia … and we rely on Google just as much! Australia should be promoting local Australian websites and businesses and not pushing international sites so hard on Aussie customers….
Hi Rebecca, unfortunately at this time Google only offers this program to US-based stores. If that changes in the future, we’ll be on it. Thanks!
