Fraud Score works by tapping into a database filled with millions of credit card transactions. It also scans 15+ fields to identify traits, patterns and trends associated with fraudulent behavior. Take a look at some of the important fields it checks:

• AVS (Address Verification System): verifies if the billing address matches the one on file with the bank.
• History: checks to see if the card/cardholder has committed fraud in the past.
• Geographical IP Checking: identifies where a customer is located, if it’s a high-risk area, and if the location matches the credit card information.
• Proxy Detection: ensure that the purchaser is not using someone else’s computer information to perform a false transaction.
• Email and Login Checks: confirms that the email address is real and has a clean record.
• Issuing Bank BIN Number Checks: verifies that the cardholder’s bank and credit card information match.

After the scan, Fraud Score turns the overall assessment into an easily digestible score, ranging from a scale of 0-300. The higher the score, the lower the risk – all intended to help you determine whether or not to process the order.
