    CSE may be good for some businesses in certain markets, but my question is what does a smaller business (like myself) do when they cannot compete with some of the much larger companies offering, sometimes unimaginable, low pricing being offered on these price comparison shopping feeds? CSE advertising might not be for everyone, and I do not believe it fits into my business model. That’s why I will stay away from this and choose other adverting mediums. Just my opinion.

      You have a good point, Matthew! Often times, smaller businesses do struggle to compete with bigger ecommerce merchants when to comes to price. And when it comes to your business model, no one knows your business like you do. That doesn’t quite mean that smaller businesses can’t benefit from CSEs, though.

      For example, we’ve actually found that our smaller businesses who have implemented CSEs and Fast Traffic averaged a 51% lift in average monthly sales two months after launch as compared to two months before launch. When these services are paired with unpaid approaches like SEO, small businesses can benefit even further.

      It’s hard being a little guy competing against Amazon, but you can always play to your strengths. Try emphasizing that you’re small and family-owned in your messaging, and always be sure to develop relationships with customers via social. Finding ways to leverage voice-of-the-customer, reviews, and testimonials are great too! These can really help potential buyers see the value in purchasing from a smaller business even if the price point is a little higher.

    CSE’s might be a good option if you have time to make all your products comply with CSE product feeds. It has become harder to compete in Adwords. My largest competitor sells the same products for multiple websites and is able to stack Adwords with 5 or 6 of the top 10 ads. How do CSE’s compare to an Adwords campaign?
