Google Gadgets: Add the Countdown to Christmas on Your Own Site
Almost as effective as a gigantic holiday decorated “Buy Now” button is seeing the days count down until the biggest shopped day of the year. According to a recent Forrester Research report, online holiday retail sales in the U.S. are expected to hit the $27 billion mark in 2006. That’s one big mark. Reiterate the fact that the spending clock is ticking with a countdown on your own site. Tick tock, tick tock, cha ching!

I’ve had mixed results with countdowns, but I agree that the concept is good - make people aware that time is running out!

I missed this for 2006, but will use a countdown gadget from September 2007. Thanks for making the info available. For your info, I always look for this kind of info from a blog, as it is invariably straightforward and to the point and I found you using the search term christmas countdown clock blog, which you are number one on google for.
