Excellent article, I would add that when you are using live chat 1. never use tech talk unless the customer does - then use it sparingly. 2. Remember you can not convey emotion in typed messages - read your responses carefully to support issues to ensure you are not offending the customer in any way.

Great article and very accurate. Basically, you wouldn’t run a store front without a sales person, then why would you run your website without one?
