Volusion is excited to announce the Clash of the Templates contest at the SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas. The grand prize winner will receive an Apple iPad 2® and be featured on Volusion’s website.
Last week, Steve Jobs made an unexpected appearance at the introduction of the highly anticipated iPad 2. He unveiled a thinner, faster and more powerful device that received a standing ovation. If you’ve been wanting to give this amazing gadget a home, here’s your chance.
Today, we’re announcing the start of our design contest, Clash of the Templates. Seasoned and aspiring designers will have the opportunity to submit an online store design template for judging. The Volusion design team will select 10 finalists which will be highlighted on the contest site. These 10 finalists will then by voted on by the public and the grand prize winner will receive an Apple iPad 2® and five runner-ups will receive a Flip® camera. Important dates and details
The contest will be open for submissions on March 11, 2011 and close on April 15, 2011. Volusion’s design team will review all submissions and select up to 10 finalists. The finalists’ submissions will be highlighted on the contest site and open to voting by the public from April 18, 2011 9:00am CST to April 25, 2011 5:00pm CST. Volusion will have a weighted vote awarding five points per design. The public votes will be calculated to award up to five points for the design with the most votes, four points for the design with the second most votes, and so on. Votes will be calculated and winners will be announced by April 26, 2011. The contest is open to US, Canada or UK residents aged 18 and older.
