Go Texas, It’s Your Birthday!

171 years ago, Texas was declared a free and independent republic. And today, the staff at Volusion’s Texas office celebrated being free with an over-indulgence in bbq beef, turkey and sausage, pickles, onions, chips, salsa, guacamole, “Michelle’s Secret Recipe Potatoes” (I know there was about a pound of butter in it, but I’ll keep the rest a secret at her request), coleslaw, pinto beans, salad (funny, there’s still a lot of that left), potato salad, broccoli slaw, creamed corn, Texas chocolate cake and LOTS and LOTS of cornbread (an overabundance thanks to a misunderstanding on the size of each “loaf” ordered, sorry J- I had to make fun of you for that just one more time). Wish ya’ll could all be here to celebrate with us (and take some of this cornbread home). Actually, our boss just sent us all an IM that reads as follows: “Team: In light of all the excess cornbread we have decided to have a corn bread eating contest. If anyone wants to participate then let me know. Winner gets a $50 gift card. Good luck!”
